Life on Lake Erie Photo Contest
The Ohio Lake Erie Commission is excited to announce the 33rd Annual Life on Lake Erie Photo Contest, an opportunity for Ohioans to capture and showcase the unique beauty, wildlife, communities, and vibrant life surrounding Lake Erie. Capture #lifeonlakeerie through your unique lens and submit your photographs for a chance to win Ohio-based prizes and local adventures!
The contest is made possible through the partnerships and support of local businesses and organizations, offering Ohio-based prizes and exciting local adventures that highlight the best of Lake Erie and its surrounding communities.
The 2025 Life on Lake Erie Prizes include:
- Cedar Point Gift Certificates donated by Cedar Point
- National Museum of the Great Lakes Inland Seas Family Membership donated by the National Museum of the Great Lakes
- Miller Ferry Round Trip Tickets donated by Miller Boat Ferry
- Ohio Heart of it All Swag Bags provided by TourismOhio
- Overnight Stay at Sawmill Creek donated by Sawmill Creek
- Overnight Stay at Maumee Bay Lodge donated by Maumee Bay Lodge & Conference Center

The photo contest is open to amateur photographers, and entries will be judged based on relevancy to the theme, creativity, and visual quality and composition. Prizes will be awarded to the top entries and photographs will be featured on the Ohio Lake Erie website, social channels, and at partner venues.
Submissions for the photo contest are due by July 31, 2025. Participants may submit up to five photographs for consideration. Each photo should be submitted as a high-resolution digital file along with a completed entry form.

The beauty and vibrancy of Lake Erie are celebrated through the lens of talented photographers in the Life on Lake Erie Traveling Photo Exhibit. This stunning collection will feature the 2024 Winning Photos from the Life on Lake Erie Photo Contest, showcasing each photographer’s unique perspective of Life on Lake Erie.
The visual voyage will highlight captivating winning photographs that reflect the moments, scenes, wildlife, and events that embody the essence of Life on Lake Erie.
